Coach Francesca’s Story
Before I became a coach, I was the girl who couldn't figure out how to feel confident in her own skin.
I grew up in Ohio as a competitive swimmer, so I was really good at following directions and eating as much food as I could.
Then I got to college at Ohio State and tried working out on my own for the first time. I felt super intimidated by the weight room, but I wasn’t happy with my body, so I was committed to figuring out this whole fitness and nutrition thing.
I watched hours of Layne Norton on YouTube learning about training and nutrition and eventually decided to compete in my first bodybuilding competition.
My first coach gave me an extremely restrictive meal plan and an hour of StairMaster…every single day. 😫
So after the show, I rebounded really hard. I felt out of control around food, and the scale kept going up.
I got to my heaviest of 145 lbs at just 5’3” – I didn’t feel like I recognized myself and was so self-conscious all the time.
I tried to hide myself in baggy clothes and avoided photos at all costs.
Eventually, I found an educated, experienced coach who taught me flexible dieting and how to count my macros, and it honestly changed everything for me.
For the first time, getting fit actually felt sustainable. Like it could actually be my lifestyle.
I rebuilt my metabolism, lost over 20 lbs in 20 weeks, competed in my 4th and final show, and changed my major to Exercise Science.
But that same year, my parents divorced after 25 years of marriage.
Growing up, I had watched my mom struggle with how she felt in her body. I also saw how her self-image affected not only her, but her relationship with my dad, my sisters, and me.
With everything I was learning in school (and how confident I finally felt in my own skin after my weight loss journey), I wanted to equip women with the fitness and nutrition tools to show up as their best selves in their marriages. Everything my mom didn’t have.
As women, we've all been fed so much misinformation about exercise and dieting that it’s no wonder so many of us feel confused about what we're actually supposed to do to get the body we want.
So, that’s my mission with Fit Bride Method: To help brides finally unpack the confusion around working out and dieting, so you can not only feel amazing on your wedding day, but start your marriage with habits that will help you show up as your best self — for yourself, your spouse, and your future kids, if that’s your thing. 😊
Teaching this stuff and helping brides genuinely lights me up.
So if you’re here, thank you for allowing me to be part of your journey.
For nearly 10 years, I've helped hundreds of brides make sense of nutrition, build strength, see consistent progress, and feel more confident than ever.
You shouldn't have to starve yourself, spend hours doing cardio, or put your life on hold to feel amazing on your wedding day. You deserve to feel incredible in your dress AND enjoy the life you're building.
And I'd love to help you get there.
